NYC and IRELAND Travelog with detailed information, useful links and recommended reading...

In July 2006 my husband, Gregg, and I went on a wonderful trip to NYC and Ireland with his brothers and sisters and their spouses. As we all live on the west coast, some of us decided it would be best to break up the long plane ride to Ireland by stopping for a few days in New York City. We met his brothers, Pat and Mike, sister-in-law Kathie, and sister Mary in New York.

DAY ONE - Wednesday, June 28, 2006 Our hotel, the Ameritania, was relatively inexpensive and located conveniently in the theatre district of Manhattan, only blocks away from Times Square. Our room, which we shared with Mike and Kathie, was VERY SMALL! The sink looked like it belonged in a dollhouse. As we didn't plan on spending much time in the room, though, it was all good. The hotel was clean and the funky decor was amusing.Here are some pics of us arriving at the hotel...
